According to Dr. Ajay Kumar, Yadav was shot in the leg, but the bullet passed through, not lodged in the body. The report found that bones in his arm, chest, and shoulder were broken, raising the suspicion that the death was due to compression or internal injuries, not a gunshot wound.
Doctors stated that there were multiple injuries on his body, and a bullet mark was found near his ankle joint. The cause of death will be clear after the X-ray report is available. The medical board stated that Yadav may have been struck by a heavy object or suffered internal damage due to a fall.
It is noteworthy that Dular Chand Yadav was injured during a clash between two groups on Thursday and died during treatment. A medical board was formed to conduct the postmortem on Friday.
Patna Rural Superintendent of Police Vikram Sihag said that preliminary investigations revealed that Yadav died after being run over by a vehicle. A search is underway for the accused.
RJD candidate Veena Devi, her husband Suraj Bhan Singh, and MP Pappu Yadav expressed grief over the incident and demanded a high-level judicial inquiry into the matter.
