RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA-------------------------Serious concern has been expressed regarding the dilapidated state of the health system, administrative apathy, and the deteriorating condition of basic amenities in Bhojpur district. It was stated that the situation remains extremely dire across the entire spectrum of healthcare facilities—ranging from the Ara Sadar Hospital to referral hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals, additional health centers, and sub-health centers.

It was alleged that despite an annual expenditure exceeding ₹100 crore on these health centers, the people of Bhojpur are compelled to rely on private clinics for medical treatment, medicines, ambulance services, diagnostic tests, deliveries, and surgeries. This places an additional financial burden of over ₹100 crore on the common people.

The district administration never addresses this grave issue with the requisite sensitivity. Why is an administration—which is so active in evicting the poor—failing to improve the functioning of offices at the block, circle, sub-divisional, police station, and district levels?

The administrative camps organized at the Panchayat level serve as proof that officials sitting in their offices are not properly discharging their duties. Despite this, why is no action taken against these negligent officials?

Such camps have been organized many times in the past as well; however, the actual outcome of these initiatives has never been assessed.

I demand of the government that: The condition of government hospitals, schools, and colleges be improved; The judicial system be strengthened; Irrigation infrastructure—such as canals and tube wells—be reinforced; The timely procurement of 100% of farmers' produce at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) be ensured; Strict action be taken against the corruption rampant in the construction of bridges, roads, and buildings; and Industries be established to bring unemployment and inflation under control. The politics of religion, divisiveness, and hatred will not last forever. The government must focus its attention on the real issues facing the public.
