SAUMYA TIWARI WINS GOLD AT STATE-LEVEL GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP

BUXAR--------------------------Saumya Tiwari, a talented athlete hailing from Rampur village in the Kesath block, has brought glory to the entire region by winning a gold medal at the 12th State-Level Grappling Championship. The competition was held at the Khel Bhawan in Arrah, where hundreds of athletes from various districts of Bihar participated.

Delivering a stellar performance in the Under-38 kg category (13-year age group), Saumya secured the first position. Throughout her bouts, she demonstrated exceptional technique, balance, and self-confidence, leaving all her opponents behind.

Saumya Tiwari is the daughter of Sonu Tiwari—a resident of Rampur and a youth leader of the BJP—and has previously won gold medals at the national level as well. This latest achievement has once again validated her hard work and talent. Thanks to her consistently strong performances, she has emerged as one of the region's most promising athletes.

Her coach, Rizwan, played a pivotal role in her success. Praising Saumya's hard work, discipline, and dedication, the coach expressed confidence that if she continues to train with the same intensity, she has the potential to bring glory to the nation not only at the national level but also on the international stage.

Saumya Tiwari will now represent Bihar at the upcoming National Grappling Championship. This competition is scheduled to take place in Guwahati (Assam) from May 29 to June 1. Both Saumya and her coach are excited about the upcoming tournament and are currently engaged in rigorous training to ensure a top-notch performance.

Saumya's achievement has created an atmosphere of joy and celebration within her village and the surrounding areas. Her success has emerged as a source of inspiration—particularly for young girls in rural regions—proving that with the right guidance and unwavering determination, any goal is attainable.
