FIVE KILLED, 12 INJURED

SASARAM--------------------------On NH 319, near Mathiya village within the Dinara police station area of ​​the district, a speeding truck ran over five individuals around 3:00 AM as they were returning after performing a 'Tilak' ceremony. All five individuals perished in this incident. The deceased include Ramvrat Singh (son of Chandrama Singh of Bhagwanpur village, Kargahar police station area); Ashok Singh (son of the late Ayodhya Singh of Mathiya village—the bride's father); Rameshwar Singh (son of the late Shankar Singh); Pintu Singh (son of the late Saryu Singh); and Rajneesh Kumar (son of the late Ram Ayodhya Mahto, a resident of Mishrawaliya village, Karakat police station area). All the deceased are reported to belong to the same family. In this regard, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Prabhat Kumar stated that checks worth ₹4 lakh each were handed over to the dependents of the five deceased individuals. The recipients included Anita Devi (wife of the late Ashok Singh), Meena Devi (wife of the late Rameshwar Singh), Munni Devi (wife of the late Pintu Singh), Ruby Devi (wife of the late Ramvrat Singh), and Prince (brother of the late Rajneesh Kumar). Present on the occasion were Sub-Divisional Officer Prabhat Kumar (Bikramganj), Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sindhu Shekhar, Circle Officer Md. Azharuddin, and Inspector-cum-Station House Officer Dharmendra Prasad.
