With just four days remaining for the first phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly elections, political activity in the state has reached its peak. All major political parties, especially the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Grand Alliance, are putting their full force into the election campaign. In this regard, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded popular Bhojpuri cinema star Pawan Singh. On Saturday, Pawan Singh addressed a massive election rally in Karnamepur, Shahpur Assembly constituency, considered a stronghold of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), where he appealed to voters to vote for the NDA-backed BJP candidate Rakesh Ojha.
In his public rally, Pawan Singh highlighted the achievements of the NDA government and sharply targeted the RJD. He called for ensuring that "jungle raj" does not return to Bihar. Launching his election campaign from Shahpur, Pawan Singh reiterated the NDA government's commitment to Bihar's development. Addressing the public meeting, Pawan Singh said, "There was a time when it was difficult to even ride a bicycle on Bihar's roads. Today, big cars are galloping on those same roads. Every home has electricity. Isn't this development?"
He emphasized that the NDA has given Bihar a new identity for development. Calling the pairing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a "hit," Pawan Singh said that this pair is leading the people of Bihar on the path of development. He also emphasized Bihari identity and respect, saying that today Biharis are respected even in foreign cities and he is proud to be a Bihari.
It is noteworthy that some time ago, there was speculation that Pawan Singh would contest the elections on a BJP ticket. However, Pawan Singh dismissed these speculations and clarified that he would work with complete dedication and hard work for the BJP and would fulfill any responsibility entrusted to him by the party leadership. A few months ago, he met with BJP President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other BJP leaders, which led to his return to the party. This activism is being seen as part of a key campaign strategy for the BJP.
