ARA-------------------------A head-on collision involving two motorcycles occurred on the Ara-Salempur main road in the Bhojpur district. One young man died on the spot, while the condition of the other remains critical. Following the accident, a crowd gathered at the scene, and local residents rushed the injured individuals to a hospital for treatment.

The accident took place near a petrol pump in Salempur village, within the jurisdiction of the Dhobaha police station. The deceased has been identified as Rakesh, a resident of Belghat village (Ward No. 4) in the Mufassil area.

He worked as a contractor for a private company in Rajkot. His brother, Ritesh, stated that they were on their way to attend a *Mundan* (head-shaving) ceremony at a neighbor's house. They were traveling by motorcycle toward Mahuli Ghat when they met with the accident en route. The victim sustained severe head injuries, and his leg was fractured below the knee.

The family members were informed about the accident by locals, after which they rushed to the scene. Following the post-mortem examination, the police handed over the body to the family. The surviving family members include his wife, Asarfi Devi; his daughter, Jia Kumari (4); and four siblings. The accident has plunged the family into deep mourning, and all members are inconsolable with grief.
