PATNA------------------------Significant news is emerging that Jyoti Manjhi, the sister-in-law of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and the "Hum" (Secular) candidate from the Barachatti constituency in Gaya, has been attacked again. She has been admitted to Barachatti Hospital in critical condition.

According to reports, Jyoti Manjhi, the "Hum" (Secular) candidate, was attacked with a stone during a roadshow in Sulebata. She was seriously injured in the attack and has been admitted to Barachatti Hospital in critical condition. Police are investigating the matter. Voting for the Barachatti constituency is scheduled for the second phase.

It is noteworthy that this is the fourth attack on Jyoti Manjhi, the Hum (Secular) candidate, in the last 48 hours. Earlier on Saturday, some anti-social elements stopped her campaign vehicle in Kharati village of Bodhgaya block and prohibited the playing of music. The driver and A worker riding on it was pulled out of the vehicle and posters and banners were torn. After Saturday's incident, he had said that a candidate of 'Hum' (Secular) Party has been murdered in Bihar before as well, hence this incident is not ordinary but smells of a political conspiracy.

It is noteworthy that Jitan Ram Manjhi's party has got a total of 6 seats in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, out of which family members are contesting on three seats. Among them, daughter-in-law Deepa Kumari from Imamganj, sister-in-law Jyoti Devi from Barachatti and Jitan Ram Manjhi's son-in-law Prafull Kumar Manjhi from Sikandra seat of Jamui district have been made candidates.
