BUXAR--------------------------Questions regarding waste management in the Dumraon Municipal Council area have intensified. JDU leader Ravi Ujjwal Kushwaha made serious allegations against the Municipal Council on Tuesday, saying that crores of rupees are being embezzled in the name of garbage dumping, while city residents are getting only filth and disease in return. After a direct investigation of the illegal dumping of garbage in Mahakal Road Ward 16, he stated that the situation is continuously worsening, and the Municipal Council is busy whitewashing instead of improving it.

Ravi Ujjwal stated unequivocally that not only is heaps of garbage being dumped in Mahakal Road Ward 16, but the entire area is experiencing an increased risk of stench, mosquitoes, and infection. He stated that not only Ward 16, but the situation in all the wards of Dumraon is as if the Municipal Council has abandoned its responsibility to clean up the garbage. Municipal Council officials are concealing the reality by showing cleanliness only on paper.

He alleged that crores of rupees are being embezzled in the name of garbage dumping. Trucks, laborers, and machines are visible on paper, but on the ground, there is only garbage. He said that the city's garbage is being collected from one corner of the city and dumped in another. This is deceiving the city's residents, and the entire waste management process has become a mere sham.

The JDU leader warned that this negligence and corruption by the Municipal Council will not remain hidden for long. Much will be exposed in the future. Ravi said that those who have compromised public health and the city's cleanliness are about to be exposed. He also said that dengue, malaria, skin diseases, and many other infections are spreading rapidly due to the filth in Dumraon. The number of patients in hospitals is increasing, but the Municipal Council's indifference remains the same.

JDU City President Gopal Prasad Gupta, Birendra Kushwaha, and Deepak Kumar were also present during Ravi Ujjwal's inspection. All the leaders unanimously stated that the collusion between public representatives and officials has turned the entire city into a garbage dump. The leaders demanded that the Municipal Council immediately ensure proper waste management, bring transparency in garbage collection, and take concrete steps to keep the city clean. They also warned that if the situation does not improve, a public movement will be launched.

The people of Dumraon have been struggling with the garbage problem for a long time. But now, with the political leadership openly speaking out, the functioning of the Municipal Council has been seriously questioned, and the public is expecting decisive action.
