Bihar is continuously moving on the path of progress. The NDA government has been working continuously since 2005-2006. The previous government used to make a budget of 34 thousand crores. Our government makes a budget of three lakh 16 thousand crores. From this, it can be estimated how much work our government is doing so that the people of the state can prosper. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said this on Friday in Sikaria village of Paliganj. He had come here to unveil the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed in Sikaria.

After the unveiling of the statue, while addressing the Karyakarta Samvad program organized in the local high school playground, the Chief Minister said that our government is committed to the upliftment of women. From the month of September, women of every household will be given ten thousand rupees for employment. If their work goes well and they need help, the government will give two lakh rupees to each woman as additional help. The Chief Minister said that his government has done a lot of work for the people of backward, extremely backward, Dalit, Mahadalit and Muslim community. Along with giving government recognition to madrasas, our government has given the status of government teacher to madrasa teachers.

For the convenience of Muslims, the graveyards were fenced in the year 2006 itself. In the year 2016, the NDA government has also fenced temples and monasteries older than sixty years. Referring to the Paliganj Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister said that apart from setting up of ANM school cum hostel in Paliganj constituency, Government ITI in Khirimod, Community Health Centre in Dulhin Bazar, widening of Pali-Akbarpur and Dulhin Bazar-Naubatpur roads has been done. Apart from this, 216 rural roads and two bridges have been constructed in the assembly constituency. Also, one grid substation, four power substations and three agricultural feeders have been established in this area.

In the interest of farmers, four thousand drains have been renovated in Dulhin Bazar block of Paliganj Assembly constituency. He said that 32 ambitious schemes have been approved to connect the Paliganj area with the mainstream of development. Work has already started on some of these. Bridge construction work has started to connect Samda to Gulriya Bigha on Punpun river in Samda. With the construction of this bridge, many villages of Arwal, Jehanabad and Patna districts will be connected. The Chief Minister said that the Central Government is also playing an important role in the development of Bihar. With the support of the Centre, national level IITs, NITs and medical colleges have been established in Patna.

CM said that PMCH has been made a hospital with a capacity of 5,462 beds. Whereas the bed capacity of IGIMS is 3,000 and NMCH has been made a hospital with a capacity of 2,500 beds. He said that the NDA government has also constructed some special buildings. Apart from Jananayak Karpuri Thakur hostel, three Scheduled Caste residential schools, two Other Backward Class residential schools, the government has constructed buildings like Samrat Ashok Convention Center, Bihar Museum, Sardar Patel Bhawan, Patna Collectorate, Anjuman Islamia Bhawan and Bapu Tower.

The CM said that 15 years ago people used to get electricity for only 6 to 8 hours and that too at a cost. But now our government is giving free electricity to the people. The government has increased the pension amount of 1 crore 12 lakh pensioners to Rs 1100, which includes old people, disabled and widowed women. Earlier, while addressing the Samvad program, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the NDA government has been continuously working to fulfill the basic needs of the villages and villagers. Nitish Kumar has also worked to connect UP and Bihar. Just like the temple of Shri Ram was established in Ayodhya, the temple of Mata Janaki has been established in Bihar.
