ARA----------------------------Wrapped in the Tricolor, the mortal remains of soldier Mangal Kumar Singh were brought on Monday to his ancestral village, Kothua, located within the Agiaon Bazar police station area. The moment the body arrived, the entire village was engulfed in an atmosphere of deep sorrow. From the women of the village to the children, the elderly, and the youth—everyone was eager to catch a final glimpse of their beloved son. Amidst the surging crowd, every eye was moist with tears. In a sorrowful atmosphere, the people bade a final farewell to Mangal Kumar Singh, offering him a heartfelt tribute. Present at the occasion, alongside Army officials, was Block Development Officer Ashok Kumar, representing the local administration. Mangal Kumar Singh held the rank of Naib Subedar in the Army's 222 Artillery Regiment and was currently posted in Bathinda, Punjab. He had sustained severe injuries after falling while on his way to participate in a parade. Following the incident, he was admitted to a hospital for treatment, where he passed away on May 2nd while undergoing care. The late soldier is survived by his father Yogendra Singh, mother Sita Devi, wife Rani Devi, son Shivam Kumar, and daughter Sneha Kumari, as well as his two brothers, Lallu Prasad Singh and Bhanu Pratap Singh. Since the passing of Mangal Kumar Singh, the entire family has been immersed in deep mourning.
