FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN TWO ROBBERY CASES

ARA---------------------------Town police arrested an accused who was absconding in two robbery cases. He was arrested on Monday night at Church Road in the Nawada police station area. According to police sources, the arrested accused is Amit Kumar Soni alias Amit Soni, son of Ramji Prasad, a resident of Chandwa Krishna Nagar Mohalla in the Nawada police station area.

On the afternoon of July 30, 2025, a jeweler from the Town police station area was traveling by auto to his jewelry shop at Bihta Chowk in Patna. When he arrived near the Dhanupra Tata Motors showroom, three criminals stopped his auto, assaulted him, and stole gold and silver jewelry, ten thousand rupees in cash, and his mobile phone. In this regard, the victim, jewelry businessman Ravi Soni, filed an FIR against three unidentified criminals at the Town police station. The accused had been absconding since then.

Apart from this, on September 1, 2025, jeweler Arun Kumar Arun alias Munnaji, resident of Mahui Balaha village of Koilwar police station area, was robbed. Near Brahmasthan on Sakkadi-Pachhaina road of the police station area, four armed criminals riding on two bikes overtook the jeweler, stopped his bike and beat him up. During that time, 35 grams of gold and mobile phone he was carrying were looted at gunpoint. During the police investigation, the name of Amit Kumar Soni alias Amit Soni came up.
