CHIRAG PASWAN RATTLES OPPOSITION FOR 2025 POLLS CHIRAG VOWS FIGHT BIHAR POLLS FOR BIHARIS CHIRAG PASWAN STORMS MAHAGATHBANDHAN’S SHAHABAD BASTION WITH POLL PLEDGE

Ara (RNI) Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan kicked off his 2025 Bihar assembly election campaign with a blockbuster Nav Sankalp Sabha at Ara’s Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, cementing his clout in the state’s political fray.

On June 8, 2025, a massive crowd flooded Ramna Maidan, undeterred by blistering heat, with supporters pouring in from Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Arwal, and Patna. Former MLC and LJP parliamentary board chairman Hulas Pandey spearheaded the event, orchestrating meticulous preparations that turned the rally into a historic spectacle. A sprawling 100x300-foot pandal, equipped with water, ventilation, and seating, ensured comfort for attendees.

Addressing the throng, Paswan launched a scathing attack on opposition parties, declaring, “Opponents forget I’m a lion’s son. I’m Bihar’s true son, and my fight will rage on until justice reaches the state’s last citizen.” He vowed his mission transcends mere power, aiming to realize the “Bihar First, Bihari First” vision. Paswan announced LJP’s plan to field candidates across all 243 assembly seats and confirmed his own candidacy, though the parliamentary board will finalize his constituency. Citing BJP leaders contesting state polls, he brushed off notions that his run is unusual. The announcement has sparked fevered speculation over Paswan’s potential candidacy from Ara or Sandesh in Bhojpur, both general seats in the Shahabad region, a strategic stronghold LJP aims to fortify for the NDA. The rally’s success has buoyed LJP, prompting plans for more Nav Sankalp Sabhas across Bihar, each targeting five to six districts to widen the party’s base and organizational muscle.

He dropped a political bombshell at Ara’s Nav Sankalp Sabha on June 8, 2025, declaring his candidacy for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections to battle for Biharis’ rights.

Speaking at Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, Paswan silenced doubters, stating, “I’ll contest the Bihar assembly polls—not for Bihar, but for Biharis, to make Bihar number one. My alliance is solely with Bihar’s people.” He pledged to field LJP candidates across all 243 seats and run himself, leaving his constituency choice to voters. “My own kin threw me out, but Bihar’s public became my family. They’ll decide where I contest, and I’ll be their MLA,” he added. Paswan unleashed a barrage on the opposition, accusing them of conspiring to “finish” him and his party, saying, “They forgot I’m a lion’s son.” He touted NDA’s achievements, vowed to make Bihar India’s top state, and claimed a massive turnout at the rally. Paswan’s candidacy, rooted in his “Bihar First, Bihari First” mantra, signals LJP’s all-out push for the upcoming elections.

Chirag Paswan launched his 2025 Bihar assembly campaign in Shahabad’s Mahagathbandhan stronghold, announcing his candidacy and flaying Congress and RJD at Ara’s Nav Sankalp Sabha on June 8, 2025.

Addressing workers at Ramna Maidan’s Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, where Mahagathbandhan holds 12 of Shahabad’s 25 seats, Paswan said, “Months from now, Bihar’s assembly polls loom. When leaders make lofty promises, ask what they’ve done for you.” He tore into Rahul Gandhi, stating, “Congress’s prince calls Bihar a crime capital, but they fueled 25 years of jungle raj by toppling Karpoori Thakur’s government. Massacres plagued their rule.” Paswan credited PM Modi for Thakur’s Bharat Ratna and his father for Babasaheb Ambedkar’s parliamentary portrait, slamming opposition leaders for claiming Ambedkar’s legacy.

Vowing to contest the polls and field candidates across all 243 seats, Paswan, declaring himself a “lion’s son,” said, “I won’t bend or break until Bihar’s developed. Opponents thought crushing me would kill Bihar First, Bihari First, but they broke my party and family instead.” He pledged to create local jobs and factories to halt migration, leaving his constituency to voters. “My alliance is with Bihar’s people. You decide where I contest,” he urged, rallying supporters to build a prosperous Bihar.
