ARA-------------------------Long ago, a Mahatma lived in a village. People from far and wide would come to him with their problems, and the saints would solve them and show them the right path.
One day, a man asked the Mahatma, "Guruvar, what is the secret to happiness in this world?" The Mahatma smiled and said, "Come, I'll show you the answer." The two set out toward the forest. On the way, the Mahatma picked up a large stone, gave it to the man, and said, "Hold on and walk."
The man began walking with the stone. After a while, his hand began to ache, but he continued walking silently. When the pain became unbearable, he said, "Guruvar, my hands are hurting a lot." The Mahatma said, "Put the stone down." As soon as the stone was put down, the man breathed a sigh of relief. The Mahatma asked, "How are you feeling now?" The man replied, "I feel very light and happy."
"This is the secret to happiness! Just as this stone hurts when held in the hand, so too does carrying the sorrows of life cause pain. The longer we hold on to our sorrows, the longer we cannot free ourselves from them. If we let them go quickly, life automatically becomes lighter and happier."
The message of this story is clear—
If we always hold on to our 'stone of sorrow,' our focus will shift from life's goals to sorrows. But if we learn to put those sorrows down, our mind will become free and we will experience true happiness in life.
Remove sorrows from your heart, abandon stress, and move forward in a positive direction. This is the true secret to happiness.
