PATNA-----------------------------5 businessmen died in a road accident late night in Parsa Bazar police station area on Sipara-Punpun Road in the capital Patna. The accident was so severe that the car was blown to pieces. The deceased include 50-year-old Rajesh Kumar, resident of Kurji Chashma Gali, Sanjay 55-year-old Kumar Sinha, resident of Patel Nagar, 38-year-old Kamal Kishore, resident of Patna, 35-year-old Prakash Chaurasia, resident of Samastipur (currently living in Patna) and 38-year-old Sunil Kumar, resident of Muzaffarpur (currently living in Patna).
Rajesh Kumar's brother has told that all the people had gone to Fatuha for some business work and were returning to Patna via Bihta-Sarmera Road at night. This terrible accident happened on the way. Rajesh Kumar used to run a reputed agro agency in Patna and his network was spread in the surrounding districts. Other businessmen were also doing business with him in the same area.
Parsa SHO Maneka Rani said that as soon as the information of the accident was received, the police team reached the spot. After the rescue operation, the bodies were taken out and sent to PMCH (Patna Medical College and Hospital). After the accident, a call came on a mobile, through which the police informed Rajesh Kumar's family. Later, other family members were also informed.
Initial investigation found that the speed of the Grand Vitara car was very high. The truck was either moving at a slow speed or was probably standing on the side. From the speed of the car and the intensity of the collision, it is being estimated that the driver did not even get enough time to apply the brakes. According to local people, many such accidents have happened on the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four lane before. Random parking of trucks at night, lack of road signals and high speed vehicles have been the major cause of accidents here. Parsa Bazaar SHO said that prima facie it seems that the incident happened in the blink of an eye, because both the vehicles were moving on the road, when the car entered the truck. At present, it will be clear how the incident happened only after investigation based on the CCTV footage installed nearby.
