SASARAM---------------------------Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav are on a 'Voter Rights Yatra' in Bihar. Today, Monday is the second day of this yatra. The yatra was to start from Dev Surya Mandir in Aurangabad and reach Rafiganj via Amba, Kutumba area. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had reached the famous Surya Mandir in Dev in Aurangabad district to visit Lord Bhaskar. When his convoy was coming out of the temple after the darshan, an NSG commando was seriously injured after being hit by his car during the sudden chaos.
According to eyewitnesses, the convoy was just coming out of the temple premises when the commando fell on the road after being hit by Rahul Gandhi's car during the commotion. The collision was so strong that even the people present in the security circle were stunned for a few moments.
Immediately after the incident, the security team picked up the injured commando and sent him to the nearby Aurangabad Sadar Hospital, where his first aid is going on. The doctors have said that his condition is serious and they will keep a constant watch on him.
Due to the incident, there was chaos in the Dev Surya Mandir complex and the surrounding area. The devotees who had come for darshan also became restless. However, the local administration and police immediately took control of the situation.
Rahul Gandhi lives under Z+ category security, and trained NSG commandos are always deployed with him. In such a situation, if security personnel in his convoy get injured, then it is natural to raise questions on the security arrangements. At the same time, the administration has started investigating the matter. The local unit of Congress has expressed concern over the incident and demanded a review of the security arrangements.
