‘LAKSHMAN-PARSHURAM SAMVAD’ STAGED

ARA--------------------------A one-day literary-cultural function was organized on the auspicious occasion of Goswami Tulsidas Jayanti under the joint aegis of Maharaja Mahavidyalaya, Ara's PG Hindi Department and 'Bhas' Hindi Sahitya Club. The main attraction of this program was the live dramatization of “Lakshman-Parshuram Samvad”, in which the students presented the popular episode of Ramcharitmanas in a live form. The program started with lighting of lamps, after which all the invited guests paid floral tributes and garlands to the picture of Tulsidas ji. Thereafter, the chief guest HD Jain College's Prof. V.P. Kesari Principal Prof. Kanaklata Kumari, Prof. Chanchal Kumar Pandey and Hindi Department Head and Club Coordinator Dr. Shuchi Sneha were welcomed by presenting them with shawls and a copy of 'Ram Chauretmanas'. The prayer dance based on 'Ganesh Vandana' presented by BCA Department students Jagriti Kumari and Ankita Kumari filled the program with spiritual and cultural sentiments.

Chief Guest Prof. V.P. Kesari said that Ramcharitmanas is not only a book of devotion, but it is a living philosophy of life, in which the ideals of religion, ethics, compassion and dignity have been woven very easily. In today's time of moral conflict and cultural challenges, the words of Tulsidas become more relevant. In the "Lakshman-Parshuram Samvad", the students enacted this inspiring episode of Ramcharitmanas very effectively through emotional acting. Guddu Kumar of Hindi Department won the first prize for playing the role of Parashuram, Sonu won the second prize for playing the role of Ram and Amit Kumar of History Department won the third prize for playing the role of Laxman. The winners were presented with a copy of 'Ramcharitmanas' as a souvenir while all the participants were given certificates.

Principal Prof. Kanaklata Kumari congratulated the club coordinator Dr. Shuchi Sneha for this beautiful event and appreciated the talent, discipline and cultural interest of all the students who participated in the play. Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Prof. Poonam Kumari, Prof. Ragini Kumari, Dr. Bibha Verma, Dr. Vandana Singh, Dr. Dwipika Shekhar Singh and Dr. Pragya Rai, along with many teachers and students of the college were present in the program. The program concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr. Dwipika Shekhar Singh.
