BHABHUA---------------------------Thousands of people who had come to convert people to Christianity under the guise of a school program fled from hotels. The situation is suspicious; the administration, which arrived to investigate, appeared helpless, and the involvement of the MP and the administration cannot be ruled out.
In the Kudra police station area of Kaimur district, thousands of people who had come to convert people to Christianity under the guise of a school program fled from hotels.
The involvement of the MP and the administration cannot be ruled out. It should be noted that for the past few days, the increasing presence of suspicious people in hotels within the police station area had been a cause for concern among local social workers. On Thursday morning, social workers informed the police administration and media personnel. Media personnel who arrived at the scene observed that suspicious people were present in Hotel Poonam Plaza, Hotel VS Grand, and some other hotels.
As soon as they got wind of the situation, the suspicious people fled on foot and in vehicles, including a vehicle belonging to St. John International School, bearing registration number BR 45 P 2397, and others. At that point, an officer from the administration, who arrived in a vehicle from the toll-free number 112 service operating in the police station area, stopped and demanded details from the people present at Hotel Poonam Plaza. They did not show any identification documents. When the bags of two people were searched, books related to Christianity were recovered from them. The investigation process had just begun when, despite the administrative officer's attempts to stop them, the other people fled on foot and by bus. The officer appeared helpless due to being alone.
It was revealed that the hotel was booked by Mr. Mrityunjay Bharti, brother of local MP Manoj Kumar and founder of St. John International School. He had cited a program being held at the school as the reason for the booking.
Furthermore, there was no record of the visitors who had come from other parts of the state and country, and if there was, what could be the reason for their escape? It is a matter of concern that when the police administration knew that a large number of suspicious people were staying in the hotel, sending only one officer was not appropriate. In such a situation, the possibility of major incidents cannot be ruled out. Senior officials appeared unable to comment on the matter. It is worth noting that religious conversions are rampant in the country, state, and district. Last September, a case related to religious conversion came to light in the Bhagwanpur police station area of the district. In this case, the administration detained Christian missionaries. These incidents occurred in a rented house near Mundeshwari Dham in the Bhagwanpur police station area and in two government schools (Primary School Niviya and Middle School Kinnar Chola Jaitpur). It was alleged that some people, including Christian missionaries, were distributing religious books and materials to children in the schools without permission, attempting to influence them towards religious conversion. In the Mundeshwari Dham case, following information about religious conversion, members of a Hindu organization apprehended two individuals and handed them over to the police. Acting on the information, the police detained a total of 18 people, including local residents and people from Varanasi and Hyderabad. The police also seized three of their vehicles. Ultimately, they were released after paying a fine of 50,000 rupees and on the condition that they would not repeat such an offense in the future.
