Principal Dr. Archana Singh hoisted the flag in both the branches of the school and saluted the national flag.

ARA------------------------The local 'Shanti Smriti' Sambhavna Residential High School, Shubhnarayan Nagar, Majhowan, Ara and Sharda Smriti Sambhavna Public School, Maulabagh, Ara had a ceremonial flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of Independence Day. Principal Dr. Archana Singh hoisted the flag in both the branches of the school and saluted the national flag. Addressing the students, teachers and parents on this occasion, Principal Dr. Archana Singh said that today the flag of India is flying high all over the world, but today there is a lack of moral values in our society. Along with the development of values and culture in the students, the feeling of patriotism will also have to be awakened. She urged the parents and all sections of the society to keep an eye not only on the daughters but also on the sons. As a guest, former principal of Maharaja College Gandhiji Rai said in his address that students should move forward with values and culture and contribute to the development of society and the country. Presiding over the function, the Managing Director of the school, Dr. Kumar Dwijendra said that today is the day to pay homage to the martyrs. Today is the day to remember the work done by them for the country. He told the students to become such citizens who can help in the development of the country.
On this occasion, the NCC cadets of the school presented an attractive parade. Along with this, the students of the school also presented the national anthem, group patriotic songs and dances and meaningful speeches in Hindi, English and Sanskrit. The main attraction was the dance drama based on Operation Sindoor presented by the students. By presenting this dance drama, the students moved all the people sitting in the audience gallery. The names of the students who presented the dance drama are Ekta Pathak, Varsha, Aman Pal, Naira, Shruti Pandey, Sakshi, Kriti, Anjali, Anshika, Mahi, Shivani, Sonakshi, Anu, Sana, Jiya, Kajal, Riddhi, Raj Nandini, Pratigya Singh, Harshit, Rishika Singh, Vriddhi and Reshma. Music teachers Dharmendra Kumar and Amitesh Ranjan and dance teacher Chintu Kumar played an important role in making the function attractive.
The stage was managed by senior teacher Arvind Ojha and student Alok Atulya. The vote of thanks was given by the vice-principal Mr. Rishikesh Ojha in the main branch and in-charge Mr. Dipesh Kumar in the children's branch. The stage design and decoration was done by art teachers Mr. Sanjeev Sinha and Mr. Vishnu Shankar. The program was concluded with the national song 'Vande Mataram'.
