ARA---------------------------Jawainiya village of Shahpur block of Bhojpur district is on the verge of extinction. This village, which once had hundreds of houses, is today on the verge of merging into the river Ganga. Now the people of the village are forced to live under the open sky, while thousands of villagers are struggling to get food. Today Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav reached Jawainiya village where he met the erosion affected families.

During this time, many houses merged into the river Ganga right in front of him. Seeing the fierce form of the river Ganga, it can be guessed that in front of the strong current, houses are going straight into the Ganga in a few seconds. Pappu Yadav, who reached Jawainiya, attacked the government and said that the leaders here do not have time to come and know the problems of the erosion affected people. Those people are busy abusing, crores of rupees were spent in the name of flood relief but there was no benefit.

The situation is very scary today. Accusing the local administration, Pappu Yadav said that his life was saved with the help of the villagers, otherwise no one could have saved him from drowning. On this occasion, MP Pappu Yadav helped the flood victims financially and provided Rs 20,000 each to the people who lost their homes in the Ganga river.
