BUXAR--------------------------A district-level program was organized on the occasion of "Drug De-addiction Day" on Wednesday in the meeting hall of the Collectorate complex at the district headquarters. The program was presided over by District Magistrate in-charge Akash Chaudhary. As per the instructions of the state government, an awareness campaign regarding drug de-addiction is being run throughout Bihar, and in this sequence, several important activities were conducted in Buxar district as well.
District Magistrate in-charge Akash Chaudhary administered the oath of de-addiction, live telecast of the state-level program was also seen.

As per the instructions of the state government, an awareness campaign regarding drug de-addiction is being run throughout Bihar, and in this sequence, several important activities were conducted in Buxar district as well. The program, organized by the district administration, first featured a live webcast of the state-level program held in Patna.
After this, the District Magistrate in-charge addressed the gathering, stating that addiction is not only detrimental to individual health, but also destructive to both families and society. He explained that the prohibition of alcohol implemented by the Bihar government has brought about positive changes in society. It has strengthened families financially and has also had a positive impact on children's education.
During the program, the District Magistrate in-charge administered a pledge of de-addiction to the officers and employees present, stating, "I sincerely pledge that I will not consume alcohol or any other type of intoxicant. I will also strive to prevent others from consuming drugs and to make them aware of its ill effects."
He stated that addiction contributes to crime, domestic discord, financial loss, and serious health problems in society. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every citizen to play an active role in building a drug-free society. District Magistrate in-charge Akash Chaudhary made a special appeal to the youth, urging them to stay away from drugs and raise awareness about it among those around them. He said that falling into the trap of drug addiction affects the future of the young generation, which also adversely impacts the development of society.
Providing information about the public awareness programs being run in the district regarding drug de-addiction, he said that the administration will continue to run campaigns with the cooperation of various institutions, social organizations, and schools and colleges. Through this, more and more people will be encouraged to stay away from drugs. Many officials and employees were present at the program, who took a pledge to be drug-free and expressed their commitment to spreading awareness in society. In conclusion, the District Magistrate in-charge expressed hope that Buxar district will soon emerge as an example in the drug de-addiction campaign.
