ARA----------------------------The birth anniversary of national poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was celebrated with great pomp under the aegis of the Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. The program was presided over by the conference's president, VKSU Senator Prof. Baliraj Thakur. The chief guest was Dr. Durg Vijay Singh, former Vice Chancellor of Jai Prakash University. In his presidential address, Prof. Baliraj Thakur described Dinkar as a historian of Indian culture and said that Dinkar was a national poet with extremely radical views. He addressed issues such as inequality, discrimination, hegemony, and economic distress, which are not problems of any particular period or geography, but are eternal and global. The essence of Dinkar's entire literature is the struggle and determination for natural justice. Dinkar's 'Urvashi' is a timeless work. Chief guest Dr. Durg Vijay Singh said that through Karna, Dinkar gave an effective message of raising a voice against narrow-mindedness, discrimination, and injustice. He was a living embodiment of masculinity. Special Guest Prof. Mahesh Singh said that Dinkar ji was born as a poet of power and energy. He is a precious gem of India. Prof. Diwakar Pandey, while describing Dinkar ji as a great thinker, said that he is a poet of vigor and enthusiasm. Poets Janardan Mishra, Janamejaya Ojha, Krishna Yadav Krishnandu, Dr. Mamta Mishra, Pintu Singh, Shivdas Singh recited their own poems. Shivdas Singh gave the vote of thanks.
