BJP MP’S ‘VEERANANA’ STATEMENT INSULTS MARTYRS AND VICTIMIZED WOMEN-CONGRESS EXPRESSES STRONG PROTEST

ARA---------------------------The shameful and inhuman statement given by BJP MP Ramchandra Jangra on the civilians martyred in the recent Pahalgam terror attack and their families has caused outrage in the whole country. He said, "Those whose vermilion was snatched did not have the spirit of Veerangana. If women had fought the terrorists instead of folding their hands, fewer people would have been killed."

Reacting strongly to this insensitive comment, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee representative Advocate Pramod Kumar Rai said that this statement is not only rubbing salt on the pain of the widows of the martyrs, but is an insult to the entire women society and our security system. The mindset of BJP leaders has consistently been anti-women and trivializing the sacrifice of soldiers."

Pramod Rai further attacked the BJP and said that the BJP, through its leaders, sometimes makes statements on women's clothing, sometimes blames rape victims, and now expects the widows of martyrs to become Veeranganas. What can be more disgusting than this?" He demanded from the central government and the BJP leadership that that the MP Ramchandra Jangra should be dismissed immediately and a public apology should be sought. The BJP should clarify whether this statement is part of their official party line. Strict legal action should be taken against such statements insulting the martyr families.

Congress leader Pramod Rai clarified that this is not just a statement, but a public display of the BJP's internal thinking. He said that the Congress Party will continue to oppose such insensitive and insulting statements from every platform and is committed to protecting the dignity of women, the honor of martyrs and public sentiments.
