BHOJPUR DM INSPECTS ANTI-EROSION AND REPAIR WORKS AT JAWAINIA AND DAMODARPUR

ARA--------------------------On the instructions of District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania, the activity of the district administration has increased regarding pre-flood preparations. In this sequence, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jagdishpur inspected the site of anti-erosion works going on along the banks of river Ganga and repair work of Damodarpur dam in Jawainia village of Shahpur block.

During the inspection, the SDO gave clear instructions to the concerned departmental officers that all the work should be completed in a quality manner within the stipulated time frame. He said that it is mandatory to implement all the necessary precautionary measures in time before the possible flood situation. Also, instructions were given to ensure necessary arrangements by closely inspecting all the sensitive and highly sensitive sites of the area.

On this occasion, Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer of Flood Division, Buxar, Circle Officer Shahpur, Block Panchayati Raj Officer Shahpur and Bahoranpur Police Station President were also present. The Sub-Divisional Officer held a meeting with the officials on the spot and stressed on mutual coordination, continuous monitoring and public participation.

Due to this activism of the administration, an atmosphere of assurance has been observed among the residents of flood-prone areas, while strictness is also being maintained regarding the quality and timeliness of the work.
