According to information, a case was registered on Monday at Sadar police station in Madhepura district against RJD MLA Prof. Chandrashekhar and his associate Alok Kumar alias Munna on charges of extortion. The contractor of the work being carried out under the name of AA Patna (JV) firm has leveled serious allegations against the MLA, his representative, and other associates, accusing them of demanding an extortion amount of Rs 1 crore, obstructing construction work, and issuing death threats.

The contractor has also sought police protection. In the application, the contractor stated that since the commencement of the work, the MLA and his representatives had been continuously putting pressure on him.
