RICH POETIC IMAGINATIONS ADORN PEOTRY AND THIS IS ALSO THE POET’S STRENGTH: Dr. ANIL SULABH

Rich poetic imaginations adorn poetry. This is also the poet's strength. Adornment makes poetry beautiful. The beauty of poetry attracts readers. Flat poems devoid of beauty fail to touch the heart. This is why emphasis has been placed on figures of speech, symbols, word combinations, meter, and poetic imagination in poetics.

PATNA------------------------Rich poetic imaginations adorn poetry.

These remarks were made by Dr. Anil Sulabh, President of the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, while presiding over the launch ceremony of the poetry collection 'Shabd Hue Pankh' (Words Became Wings) by the renowned poet-painter Siddheshwar, held at the Sammelan on Friday. He said that Mr. Siddheshwar is a hardworking poet enriched with poetic dedication. The title of the launched book itself gives an introduction to his poetic power. Who can stop those poets whose 'words' become 'wings' from soaring in the infinite and boundless expanse of the poetic sky? The poet has attempted to take flight from the pinnacle of this collection. It is hoped that many of his poetic works will be seen inscribed on the expanse of the sky.

While launching the book, senior poet-storyteller and the Sammelan's Literature Secretary, Bhagwati Prasad Dwivedi, said that Siddheshwar is a poet whose creativity remains continuous. He has used both the pen and the brush with equal skill and authority. His paintings have been published in magazines and newspapers for a long time. Poetry and painting have gone hand in hand. 'Shabd Hue Pankh' reflects the restlessness of today's society.

Senior litterateur Dr. Kishore Sinha said that Siddheshwar's short poems raise many questions. His works also give voice to life's problems, the lack of sensitivity, and social controversies. It is a matter of satisfaction that the poet's works are rooted in optimism, not despair. Conference Vice-Presidents Dr. Shankar Prasad, Dr. Shashi Bhushan Singh, Dr. Richa Verma, Tariq Aslam 'Tasneem', Madhuresh Narayan, Prof. Sunil Kumar Upadhyay, Dr. Meena Kumari Parihar, Bachcha Thakur, Avinash Bandhu, Ram Yatan Yadav, Surya Prakash Upadhyay, Mrityunjay Govind, Veena Gupta, Kramit Sinha, Rajesh Shukla, Indu Upadhyay, Indu Bhushan Sahay, Banke Bihari Saw, and others also expressed their views and extended their best wishes to the poet.

On this occasion, the poet of the book being launched, Siddheshwar, recited his title poem, saying, "Riding on the wings of words, I want to measure the vast sky of poetry! I want to make air, water, and sunlight the protective shield of my life." Through another poem, he introduced a bitter truth of life: "What can I blame others for, when I myself feel nauseous seeing the blisters that have appeared on my own face in the mirror!"

The stage was managed by Brahmanand Pandey, and the vote of thanks was given by Raj Priya Rani.
