BHABHUA---------------------------After a photo went viral on social media, police took major action, arresting two suspects and recovering illegal weapons from them. The incident occurred on October 21, 2025, when a photo of a young man holding a pistol went viral on social media. The photo caused a stir within the police administration. The Kaimur Superintendent of Police, recognizing the seriousness of the matter, immediately took cognizance and formed a special raiding team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Bhabua. This team wasted no time in launching a war-like operation and identified the young man in the viral photo as Manish Paswan. Manish, reportedly around 21 years old, is the son of Munna Paswan and a resident of village Amav, Chainpur, Kaimur district. When Manish was taken into custody and interrogated rigorously, he confessed that the viral photo was of him and that the pistol he was holding belonged to Pradeep Seth of his village. Manish revealed shocking information to the police, stating that he and Pradeep Seth had purchased the pistol to resolve land disputes and establish their dominance among the villagers. Pradeep Seth, approximately 35 years old and son of Mohan Seth, also resides in the village of Amav, Chainpur police station, Kaimur district. Following Manish's information, the police immediately took Pradeep Seth into custody. Based on information received from the two accused, the police team raided Pradeep Seth's shop near Kharigaba Chowk under the Chainpur police station. During the search, one country-made pistol and 19 live cartridges, 315-bore, hidden in the shop's locker were recovered. Following this success, the police arrested both Manish Paswan and Pradeep Seth. A case has been registered against them at Chainpur Police Station under Case No. 501/25, dated October 22, 2025, under Sections 25(1-b)/26/35 of the Arms Act. The arrested accused will now be produced before the Honorable Court.
