PATNA-------------------------On the call of central trade unions and service organizations and All India State Government Employees Federation, a large number of employee teachers from all over the district participated in the one-day national strike on July 09. Hundreds of employees from various departments gathered near the Red Cross building under the banner of Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation, Bhojpur District Branch. A rally was taken out under the leadership of District Minister Vinod Yadav and District President Manoj Srivastava, raising slogans on their demand with flags and banners, which passed through the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar located in the court and reached near the JP statue, where a grand meeting was held. On this occasion, the State General Secretary of Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation, Subhash Singh, who was present, strongly attacked the anti-employee and anti-people policies of the Central Government. The General Secretary said that the attitude of the Modi government in power in the country has been exploitative and oppressive towards employees, farmers, youth and working class ever since it came to power. Some state governments are also following in their footsteps and showing behavior against the interests of employees. Also, a conspiracy is being hatched to close down government institutions indiscriminately. At the same time, by changing the labor law made in favor of workers, by implementing four labor code labor laws, by ending the constitutional right to strike, dharna-demonstration and agitation, the legitimate demands of labor organizations are being continuously ignored and crushed. It should be known that whenever the teachers and employees have united, the anti-people governments have been forced to give in. Unemployment is at its peak, more than one crore posts of employees are vacant across the country, on which regular recruitment is not being done. Salary and facilities are being cut. In such a situation, workers and employees were called upon to unite and raise their voice against the central and state governments. District Minister Vinod Yadav said that the government should repeal the pension law, immediately end NPS/UPS and implement the old pension scheme for all employees. At the same time, Federation District President Manoj Srivastava said that the demand for restoring the old pension of employees, ending the practice of contractual agreement and making regular appointments, formation of the eighth pay revision committee, release of outstanding dearness allowance is justified. This strike will give a new direction to the movement of employees and workers. Shakuntala Kumari said that the government is cheating the Asha workers. There is reluctance in implementing the previous agreement. Demand was made to give Asha a government servant status and minimum wage of Rs 26000/-.
The meeting was addressed by Joint Minister Kundan Kumar, Kumar Bablu ji, Suman Kumari, Vice President Zuber Alam, Treasurer Lokesh Nath, Rajiv Ranjan, Ramakant Singha, Urmila Yadav, District Minister of Asha Sangh Shakuntala Kumari, Raghubar Paswan of Courier Sangh. Hundreds of employees including Pankaj Pradeep, Rajesh Sinha, Rohit Paswan, Sanjay Mishra, Vishwajeet, Sonalal Yadav, Shivbhaju Yadav, Kumari Asha, Sajni Devi, Bindu Kumari were present on the occasion.
