SASARAM-------------------------To ensure that not a single youth or person eligible to vote is left out, door to door survey has been started by BLOs from June 25 itself. This survey work will continue till July 26. District Officer Udita Singh said the above while addressing reporters on the subject related to the special intensive revision of the voter list-2025. In her address, she said that a voter born in India on or before July 1, 1987 will have to provide evidence to certify his date of birth or place of birth. Similarly, if a voter is born in India between July 1, 1987 and December 3, 2004, evidence will have to be provided to certify his and his mother's or father's date of birth or place of birth. Whereas if a person is born in India after December 2, 2004, it is necessary to provide evidence to certify his or her mother's or father's date of birth or place of birth. The District Officer said that the voter need not worry too much about this, because any kind of proof, whether it is a local authority or any identity or certificate issued by a bank, post office, LIC or PSU in India before 01.07.1987, will be valid. Similarly, passport, birth certificate issued by a competent authority, matriculation certificate issued by a recognized board, permanent residence certificate issued by a competent state authority, OBC, SC/ST certificate, any government land or house allotment certificate have also been included in the authentic documents. The District Officer said that full care will be taken to ensure that no eligible voter is left out. He said that this time polling stations will be set up on the basis of 1200 voters, which was 1500 earlier. He informed that among the registered voters in Rohtas district there are 1097860 women, 1198502 men and 61 others, whose total number is 2296423.
