ARA---------------------------Excitement among advocates has reached its peak regarding the elections for the 2025-2027 term of the Bar Association of Piro. By the nomination deadline on Saturday, a total of 17 candidates filed nominations for 20 positions. The President position is set to be a direct contest between Ayodhya Tiwari and Virendra Kumar Singh. The General Secretary position has become the most interesting. A three-way contest is expected between outgoing President Sheshnath Singh, outgoing General Secretary Shyamananda Pandey, and Purushottam Kumar Dubey. Only Arun Kumar Rai has filed his nomination for the Treasurer position, strengthening his chances of being elected unopposed. With only three nominations for the three Joint Secretary positions—Dheeraj Kumar Singh, Dinesh Kumar Sinha, and Ranjan Kumar Singh—the candidates for these positions are also certain to be elected unopposed.
The three Assistant Secretary positions are also expected to be unopposed, with only two candidates—Satendra Kumar and Pradeep Kumar—in the fray. The contest for the two auditor positions has become an interesting one, with three candidates—Shashi Kumar Suman, Rajesh Kumar, and Vishnu Shankar Pandey—contesting. Only Krishna Kumar Keshari and Deepanshu Kumar have filed nominations for the seven executive member positions. Harendra Rai's supporters were disappointed when he withdrew his candidacy after filing for the president's post. Election Officer Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Assistant Election Officer Ranjan Kumar Singh, and Sujit Kumar stated that the nomination process began on November 1st. The last date for nominations is November 8th, scrutiny is November 10th, withdrawal is November 11th, and voting and counting will take place on November 24th. They appealed to all advocate voters to conduct their voting in a peaceful and dignified environment.
