VILLAGERS PROTEST AGAINST BUILDING OF RAJIPUR PANCHAYAT GOVERNMENT BUILDING

PATNA--------------------------Villagers of Rajipur Panchayat protested strongly at the subdivisional headquarters, Paliganj against the construction of Panchayat Government Building of Rajipur Panchayat under Dulhin Bazar block of Patna district at Baduri, 4 km away by ignoring rules.

The villagers say that neither a Gram Sabha was called nor any consultation was done with the head of the Panchayat. The construction work of this building was started suddenly without following any democratic process.

On this occasion, a delegation led by Paliganj MLA Dr. Sandeep Saurabh, who was involved in the movement, met DCLR and SDO and put forth the issue in detail. Both the officials assured proper investigation and action. After the movement, the Paliganj MLA himself submitted a memorandum to the Patna District Magistrate and demanded immediate solution to this problem.

Paliganj MLA Sandeep Saurabh said that “This entire matter is a proof of the arbitrariness of the bureaucracy and ignoring the voice of the public. The Panchayat Government Bhawan should be built in Rajipur according to the needs and convenience of the public, and not 4 kilometers away by breaking the rules. In democracy, the opinion of the public is paramount and ignoring the public will never be tolerated.”

This incident clearly shows how the bureaucracy dominates the public and public representatives in the JDU-BJP government of Bihar. If this demand is ignored in the coming days, then the public will definitely teach a lesson to this useless government.
