MEETING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF TRAFFIC JAM AND ENCROACHMENT AT PATEL BUS STAND AND MAIN ROADS

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur district administration has taken an important step towards strengthening and smoothening the traffic system of the city. As per the instructions of District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania, a high-level review meeting was organized for permanent solution to the problems of traffic jam and illegal encroachment occurring continuously at Patel bus stand and surrounding main roads in Ara city.

Senior officials of Municipal Corporation, Police Department, Transport Department and other related departments were present in this meeting. While chairing the meeting, the officials thoroughly reviewed the root causes of these problems and prepared a concrete action plan for their solution.

During the meeting, it was decided that a traffic check post would be established near Patel bus stand. This check post will be operated in joint coordination of Municipal Corporation and Traffic Police, which will help in controlling the traffic in the area and will get rid of the problem of jam. It was also directed that irregular parking and disorderly operation of buses should be strictly controlled.

Apart from this, the District Transport Officer and Municipal Corporation were clearly instructed to take strict action against those who encroach the roadside illegally. Under this, financial penalty (fine) will be imposed and legal action can also be taken if required. Officers have been instructed to run regular campaigns to make the roads encroachment free.

District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania, while emphasizing on all departments working in mutual coordination, said that the traffic system is directly related to the convenience of the common citizens and the image of the city. He said that providing smooth, safe and systematic traffic facility to the general public is the priority of the district administration, and negligence at any level will not be tolerated for this.

Many other related officials including Municipal Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer (Ara Sadar), District Transport Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic), City Police Station Incharge were present in this meeting. All the officers jointly assured to ensure prompt action.
