INSULTING THE STATUE OF KUER SINGH IS A SHMEFUL ACT OF THE BJP: SHASHI SINGH

ARA-------------------Dr. Shashi Kumar Singh, President of the Veer Kunwar Singh Smriti Parishad, stated that Veer Kunwar Singh, the hero of the First War of Independence of 1857, is an immortal symbol of the country's independence. It is the duty of every Indian to respect him. However, the recent act of unveiling the statue by BJP leaders and former Union Minister R.K. Singh is not only an insult to the freedom fighter, but also a blatant attack on constitutional values ​​and the Constitution. An emergency meeting of the Veer Kunwar Singh Smriti Parishad was held at 12:30 pm at the eastern gate of Jain College on this issue. The statue of Veer Kunwar Singh was previously installed in the wrong direction in the Ara station premises. In protest of this serious mistake, Dr. Shashi Kumar Singh, President of the Veer Kunwar Singh Smriti Parishad, wrote to the Railway Ministry and the concerned officials, demanding that the direction be corrected. Following this, the inauguration was postponed and the statue's direction was changed.

Despite this, for more than six months, the controversy persisted that the unveiling would be done by sitting MP Sudama Prasad, not BJP leader and former minister R.K. Singh, as the Constitution and protocol do not permit it. Despite this, on September 21st, R.K. Singh, along with his supporters, illegally "opened the mouth" of the statue and declared it an unveiling. This act is an insult to democracy, the Constitution, and the honor of the martyrs. The Veer Kunwar Singh Smriti Parishad strongly opposes this unconstitutional move. A letter to this effect has been sent to all constitutional officials, including the President and the Prime Minister. The Parishad demands strict action against all unwarranted elements involved in this disrespectful act. If the statue is not re-unveiled with a respectful and formal ceremony, the Parishad will launch a prolonged movement and expose every face of the BJP to the public. The Veer Kunwar Singh Smriti Parishad was the one that successfully secured the installation of Veer Kunwar Singh's portrait inside the Parliament House in 2008. This organization has always been active in protecting his pride and will continue to protect the honor and respect of Veer Kunwar Singh at any cost.
