Now, to include Bihar among the top five investment-friendly states in India, the Department of Industries will organize investor conferences in major commercial centers across the country and the world to attract large-scale industries. We have started working on an action plan to attract investments worth ₹50 lakh crore in the next 5 years. This includes promoting Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), establishing 5 new mega food parks with modern food processing and logistics facilities, developing 10 industrial parks and 100 MSME parks in the state, training 7 lakh people in industry-relevant skills and entrepreneurship, and establishing a Directorate of MSMEs and MSME centers in all districts. Providing facilities for the export and marketing of local products is also a key focus.
To promote industries in the state, a total of 44,073 entrepreneurs have been provided with incentives under the Chief Minister Entrepreneurship Scheme. This is enabling people to start their own industries/businesses and also providing employment to a large number of people.
With the objective of making Bihar the new tech hub of Eastern India, a high-level committee has been constituted for the creation and continuous monitoring of the implementation of an action plan for the establishment of a Defence Corridor, Semiconductor Manufacturing Park, Global Capability Centre, Mega Tech City, and Fintech City. A high-level committee has also been formed to develop and establish Bihar as a ‘Global Back-end Hub’ and ‘Global Workplace’ by creating an action plan and continuously monitoring its implementation. Furthermore, an action plan has been developed and arrangements have been made for its implementation and continuous monitoring to expand employment-oriented activities in the startup and other new-age economy sectors within the state for talented youth and entrepreneurs.
The process of establishing the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) spread over approximately 1,700 acres in Dobhi, Gaya, is being expedited, and it will be inaugurated soon. Following the model of the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) spread over 14,036 acres in 29 districts of the state, 31 new state-of-the-art industrial parks will be established, including 10 sector-specific parks such as Textile Parks, Pharma Parks, etc. A total of ₹26,000 crore will be spent on rapid industrial development in the state.
Bihar now has all the necessary quality infrastructure for setting up industries, such as good road, rail, and air connectivity, and uninterrupted power supply. The rule of law has been established in the state, and the law and order situation is significantly improved. We will also ensure that the youth of the state do not have to leave the state for employment out of compulsion.
