PATNA--------------------------The divinity of Rama's personality and the Ramayana have been inspiring Indian culture for ages. Not only Rama's character, but every character in the Ramayana is a role model for human life. The Ramayana and the Ramcharitmanas are such texts whose creation transformed bipedal creatures into humans. These epics are a boon for global humanity.
Dr. Anil Sulabh, President of the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, stated this while presiding over a gathering of scholars on the fourth day of the five-day "National Ramayana Fair," held annually in Chitrakoot Dham for the past 53 years. He stated that the Ramayana is not a fabricated story, but a highly inspiring history of Eastern India. Rama's character itself is a center of attraction, like a beautiful poem. Whether one is a theist or an atheist, the Ramayana offers ample subject matter for people of all faiths. This story not only touches upon every aspect of human life, but also elaborates upon them. It contains answers to all the questions that arise in the mind of the inquisitive and solutions to all the problems of life. It is a beacon of light on the path of life.
