Rs. 8.06 Crore Hindi collection in Three Days Medaram Jathara

Medaram/Hanamkonda, Feb 7 (RNI) The counting of offerings from the hundis (collection boxes) submitted by devotees during the Sammakka-Saralamma Jathara 2026 continued for the third day at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Hanamkonda. The counting process is proceeding smoothly under the supervision of Endowment Department officials and service committee members.

Officials stated that a total of 828 hundis were set up for the Jathara, including 780 iron hundis, 45 cloth hundis, and 3 rice hundis. On the third day, 140 hundis were opened and counted, yielding an income of Rs. 2,01,21,440/-. Additionally, an income of Rs. 71,283/- was received through foreign currency exchange.

Previously:

• On February 5, the counting of 125 hundis yielded Rs. 2,49,65,000/-.

• On February 6, the counting of 160 hundis yielded Rs. 3,54,25,200/-, along with an additional income of Rs. 63,436/- through foreign currency exchange.

Officials clarified that a total of 425 hundis have been counted over the three days, resulting in a combined income of Rs. 8,06,46,359/-.

They also stated that an amount of Rs. 2,01,92,723/- from the cash counted on the third day was handed over to bank officials in the presence of the supervising officers. They stated that the gold and silver offerings were stored separately in iron donation boxes and kept securely. They also revealed that the counting of the coins has not yet begun.
