AIMIM WISHED TO CONTEST BIHAR ELECTION WITH THE UPA, OWAISIS WROTE TO LALU PRASAD

ARA---------------------------------Owaisi's party AIMIM wants to contest Bihar assembly elections in grand alliance with RJD. AIMIM state president Akhtarul Iman has written a letter to RJD president Lalu Yadav regarding this. The party said that it is necessary to include AIMIM in the alliance to prevent the scattering of secular votes. Party state president Akhtarul Iman also said that efforts were unsuccessful in 2020 and 2024 as well.

Bihar state president and MLA Akhtarul Iman has written a letter to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. In the letter, AIMIM has clearly said that if the scattering of secular votes is to be stopped, then it is necessary to include the party in the grand alliance. Akhtarul Iman wrote that this disintegration directly benefits communal forces, which is necessary to stop in the 2025 elections.

He also told that in the 2020 assembly elections and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, AIMIM had tried to be a part of the grand alliance, but no concrete result came out. Now again the party has expressed its intention to contest the elections by joining the alliance. Many AIMIM leaders have been giving statements continuously on this issue for the last few days.

There has been no formal response from Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav yet. However, if sources are to be believed, Tejashwi had said that he did not receive any direct proposal from AIMIM. Now it remains to be seen whether Lalu Yadav gives any response to this letter or not. Owaisi's party had won 5 seats in Seemanchal region of Bihar, later apart from state president and MLA Akhtarul Iman, four other MLAs joined RJD.
