ARA-------------------------From the point of view of religion and spirituality, India has unique characteristics in the whole world. From the point of view of diversity, the temples established here for centuries in all the states have their own characteristics and people have unwavering faith in them. Among such temples, the temple with the statue of Lord Shiva and Parvati established in the Sanskardhani of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh is considered to be the university of Tantra-Mantra. Special worship is done in this temple every Mahashivratri and all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled by this worship.

Famous as the Chausath Yogini Temple, this temple has the statue of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati installed in it. This is the only statue of this type installed in any temple in the country. It is located in the Bhedaghat area of Jabalpur, which is famous for marble rocks on the banks of the Narmada River. This temple is of the 9th century. It is considered a symbol of Shakti worship.

It is said that in ancient times, the teachings of Tantra-Mantra were given here. Sadhaks from the country and abroad used to do Tantra Sadhna at this place. This temple was built by the Kalchuri kings. The Chausath Yogini temple houses the idols of 64 Yoginis. Out of these, only 61 idols are currently preserved. These Yoginis are considered to be the form of Goddess Durga. It is said that earlier there were only seven Matrikas here, but over time their number increased to 64, due to which this temple was named Chausath Yogini Temple.

A panoramic view of the Narmada can be seen from the courtyard of the temple. It is said that the Narmada changed its course for this temple. According to legend, when Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati were visiting this area, they decided to rest on a high hill. On visiting this temple, devotees start feeling the visit of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.
