ARA--------------------------On the occasion of Sanskrit Day, a seminar was organized by Sri Sanatan Shakti Peeth Sansthanam and Sanatan Sursari Seva Nyas at Friends Colony office which was presided over by Prof. Baliraj Thakur. Speaking as the keynote speaker on this occasion, Acharya Dr. Bharat Bhushan Pandey, President of the Sansthan said that on Guru Purnima, the residents used to worship the Guru and get training in daily rituals like Sandhya Vandan etc. for a month. On the day of Shravan Purnima, in Shravani Upkarma which is performed on the banks of a pilgrimage or river or sea, they used to engage in the study of Vedas after completing external and internal purification through Rishi Pujan, fasting etc. Acharya said that the students trained in the Gurukul tradition, after graduation, used to invest and make good use of their lives in works of social welfare. Sanskrit is the Dev Bhasha. Through this, divinity is infused in the society and the protection of culture and values is ensured. This is the specialty of Bharatvarsh. He said that in the census, all Sanskrit lovers, students, scholars, people associated with religion, spirituality, rituals, astrology etc. should write their mother tongue as Sanskrit. Acharya said that only by protecting Sanskrit, Bharatvarsh and its divine knowledge and science can be protected. In his presidential address, Prof. Baliraj Thakur said that news of violence and anarchy comes every day in the country. This situation has been created due to the great decline in the values of life and the field of education. This situation can be changed by promoting Sanskrit. Social worker Shivdas Singh stressed on running more and more Sanskrit schools and universities. Dr. Satyanarayan Upadhyay and Satyendra Narayan Singh described Sanskrit as the soul of culture and a step towards world welfare. On this occasion, in the unanimously passed resolution, a demand was made to the government to take effective initiatives for the honor of Sanskrit scholars and encouragement of Sanskrit students. The seminar was conducted by Madheshwar Nath Pandey, welcome speech was given by Satyendra Narayan Singh and vote of thanks was given by Nilesh Kumar Mishra. On this occasion, classical singer Rakesh Kumar Mishra sang many verses in ragas like Bhimapalasi, Vrindavani Sarang etc. The speakers included Radha Prasad Pathak, Vishwanath Dubey, Shivdas Singh, Rang Ji Singh, Sunil Kumar, Rakesh Mishra, Janardan Mishra, Mrityunjay and many other prominent people.
