LORD KRISHNA GRANTED SALVATION TO PUTANA WHO HAD POISONED HIM: JIYAR SWAMI
-At the Paramanpur Chaturmasya fasting site, India's great sage, Shri Lakshmiprapanna Jiyar Swami Ji Maharaj, said that Lord Krishna also granted salvation to the demon Putana, sent by Kansa after his birth. Putana, who had come to kill Lord Krishna, born as a child, and who, assuming a beautiful form and motherly appearance, wanted to force him to drink poison, was killed by Lord Krishna with his own hands when he was less than 10 days old. Anyone who dies at the hands of Lord Krishna attains salvation. Both his devotees and enemies are blessed, because those who die at the hands of God do not go down to hell. Shri Krishna killed Putana in Gokul and then sat and played on her chest.

ARA--------------------------At the Paramanpur Chaturmasya fasting site, India's great sage, Shri Lakshmiprapanna Jiyar Swami Ji Maharaj, said that Lord Krishna also granted salvation to the demon Putana, sent by Kansa after his birth.
Putana means the woman who, possessing the form of another woman, came to kill Lord Krishna. The word Putana also means one whose thoughts and behavior are false.
In Mathura, Kansa was plotting to kill the young child Shri Krishna. Putana convinced Kansa in various ways. Then, to reach Gokul from Mathura, Putana disguised herself so that no one in Gokul would recognize her.
Here in Gokul, after the birth of Lord Shri Krishna, everyone began celebrating on the ninth day and the Rohini Nakshatra. The previous day, we heard the story of how Vasudeva brought Lord Shri Krishna from Mathura to Gokul. After this, Nand Baba and the entire Gokul community began celebrating. Nand Baba generously donated generously to all the saints and sages. The birth celebrations of Nand Baba's son continued for almost a month in Gokul, with rivers of milk, curd, and butter flowing.
Lord Shankar, along with all the gods and goddesses, also participated in the celebrations in disguise, rejoicing. Here in Mathura, Kansa's chamber was filled with a strange sadness. Kansa was thinking, "Despite all this, the one who will kill me has already been born. I am unable to kill him." Then he summoned Putana, a demoness close to him. Kansa told Putana everything. Putana said, "It's no big deal. Rest assured, I will kill the child."
Kansas asked how she would kill the child. Putana explained that she knew the demonic magic. She would feed him her poison-laced milk and kill him. Here in Gokul, Nanda Baba and the people of Gokul paid Kansa an annual tax every year. After receiving the tax, Nanda Baba went to Kansa and, after paying it, decided to meet Vasudeva. Nanda Baba met Vasudeva and then began returning to Gokul. Meanwhile, Putana had arrived in Gokul to kill Lord Krishna, as per Kansa's orders.
Putana transformed into a beautiful young woman, a sight that stunned even the women of Braj and Gokul. Putana went to Yashoda Mata's house. When Lord Krishna saw Putana, he closed his eyes and thought to himself, "Oh, Putana has come so quickly to kill me." Putana, under the pretense of playing with Lord Krishna, took him in her lap and began to feed him her milk. Now, Lord Krishna, in the form of a small child, began to drink Putana's milk. While drinking, he grabbed her by the throat and declared, "I will not let you go."
Putana screamed, "Let go of me," but Lord Krishna refused. Putana then transformed into a gigantic, monstrous form. After this, she began flying through the sky. Lord Krishna then threw her down to the ground, and Putana died. However, even after Putana's death, Lord Krishna remained seated on her body and continued to drink her milk. The sound of Putana's fall was so loud that all the people of Gokul heard it and ran to see.
When everyone went there, they saw Lord Krishna sitting on Putana's body and playing. Mother Yashoda ran home, carrying the child Krishna in her lap. After bathing him thoroughly, she began to ward off the evil eye with a cow's tail hair. When Nanda Baba arrived, he learned everything. The people of Gokul set Putana's body on fire and burned it. It is said that as Putana's body burned, a fragrance emanated from it because Lord Krishna had touched it. As a result, Putana's body no longer belonged to a demoness.
The scriptures state that in her previous birth, Putana was the daughter of the demon King Bali, named Ratnamala. When Lord Shriman Narayana, in the form of Vamana, visited King Bali, Ratnamala, beholding his beautiful form, thought to herself, "What a beautiful child! How wonderful it would be if he were my son." To whom I would have fed my milk. But after some time when Lord Vaman took everything of the demon Rajbali as donation, then Ratnamala thought in her mind that this is a very wicked child, he should be killed by making him drink poison.
At that very moment, after listening to both the wishes of Ratnamala, Lord blessed her and said that I will definitely fulfill both these wishes. In the next birth, she was Putana, who had come to kill Lord Shri Krishna by feeding him her poisonous milk. Whom God saved. When Kansa got the news that Lord Shri Krishna had killed Putana, then he became very sad and was also surprised that how a 10 day old child killed such a huge and ferocious demoness.
