ARA----------------------At Paramanpur Chaturmasya Vrat Sthal, India's great sage Saint Shri Lakshmi Prapanna Jiyar Swami Ji Maharaj explained the special importance of havan for peace in the house. On the full moon day of every month, one should perform havan as per the rituals by getting the story of Lord Satyanarayan performed at home. Although, in the scriptures, the rule of performing havan is stated to be daily. But those who lack time, who cannot perform havan ahuti every day, they must perform havan on the full moon day.
33 crore gods are pleased with havan. The importance of havan etc. at home has been stated to be similar to that of a small yagya. Just as big yagnas are organized. In that yagya, Agni Dev is lit and ahuti is offered. Many people consider Agni to be feminine. But Agni is not feminine, it is masculine. The name of Agni Dev's wife is Swaha. When Agni Dev is lit and aahuti is offered in Puja, Paath, Yagna, Swaha should be spoken in a loud voice. Because Agni Dev's wife Swaha should also be pleased.
Havan has been given special importance in all types of Puja, Paath etc. Because whatever material is offered to God in the worship, the method of havan has been told with all those materials. Because when Agni Dev is lit, then the aahuti offered in it, the aahuti of havan is received by Param Brahma Parmeshwar and 33 crore deities. Due to which goddess, deity, God are pleased. There is happiness and peace in the house.
Even in Satyug, Treta, Dwapar Yug, sages, Maharshis and ascetics used to do sadhna by performing havan. It is mentioned in the Puranas and scriptures that all the Rishis, Maharishis, Tapasvis who did penance, used to perform Havan, Aahuti, Yagya etc. continuously to make their penance successful. Even in Kaliyug, the welfare of human beings is told to be achieved by performing Havan daily.
Havan should be performed at home with sesame, Shakeel, Ghee while chanting the name of God once, five times, 11 times or as per your arrangement as per the material available.
When the war between Kauravas and Pandavas ended, Bhishmacharya attained God's world through his penance. After that, a Yagya was organized by the five Pandavas with the permission of Lord Shri Krishna. At the same time, a Yagya was being performed by an ascetic in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. That ascetic did not have much money etc. He had organized the Yagya with only half a kilo of Sattu. In the Yagya, a mongoose came to get the Prasad. That mongoose got the Prasad of Sattu.
After which he went into the water and started shaking his tail. After some time he saw that his tail had become like gold. He thought that if my tail has become gold by getting the prasad in the yagya, then a yagya is also being conducted by Dharmaraj Yudhishthira. If we go to his yagya and take the prasad then my whole body will become gold. The mongoose also went to Dharmaraj Yudhishthira's yagya and took the prasad. After which he went into the water and soaked his whole body.
But there was no change of any kind on his body. He started thinking that Dharmaraj Yudhishthira is such a great king. There is no limit to wealth in his reign. Still my body did not become gold. Whereas that small yagya in which the yagya was organized only through sattu, by taking the prasad there my tail became gold. What is the reason for this.
Swami Ji said that if a person earns ₹300 by working hard, sweating, honesty and hard work and donates ₹20 from it, then that person gets a lot of reward. Whereas a person earns ₹100000. But to earn ₹100000, he may have lied, cheated, tortured, misbehaved etc. and even if he donates 1000, 2000, 10000 from it, then also his donation does not have that much importance.
If a person works hard and honestly for ₹300 and donates ₹10, then the donation of ₹10 by that person has special importance. That is why in the yagya of the ascetic who was performing the yagya with sattu, the tail of that mongoose became gold after accepting the prasad. Whereas in the yagya of Dharmaraj Yudhishthir, even after eating many dishes, there was no change in the body of that mongoose. Because Dharmaraj Yudhishthir had a wealth of money. He spent lakhs and crores of rupees from it on yagna etc., but even then it did not have much effect. As much as a sadhak who does ascetic sadhna gets fruits in yagna even with less material, food etc. That is why satvik conduct, behavior, honesty, hard work are considered to be the main thing to earn money.
