BUXAR---------------------------The confusion over the dates of the festivals of Sawan-Bhado often confuses the common man. A similar situation was seen this time regarding the Jivutputrika fast. Due to the different opinions of some scholars, the confusion between the women and the devotees had started deepening. Even indecent comments were made on the social media regarding the learned community. To resolve this dispute, an important meeting of the prominent scholars of Shahabad Range was called on Saturday, September 6, in the premises of the Kaalratri temple in Simri.

It was unanimously clarified in the meeting that Jeevutputrika Vrat is a Chandravyapi Vrat. According to the rules, it is necessary to have Ashtami Tithi in the evening and Navami Tithi at the time of Parana. On this basis, it was decided that Jeevutputrika Vrat will be kept on 14th September, Sunday and Parana will be done on 15th September, Monday after 6:26 am. Scholars said that this date is also recorded in all major Panchangs including Hrishikesh Panchang, Mahavir Panchang, so there should not be any kind of confusion.

The scholars present in the meeting also appealed that commenting on religious topics without complete information is harmful for both society and culture. They urged the people to maintain the dignity of scriptures and tradition and avoid elements spreading hypocrisy.

Now women are satisfied that the festival of traditional faith will be celebrated duly on the right date. Religious Acharyas believe that this fast is a symbol of long life and happiness and prosperity of children and its importance has remained intact for generations.
