ARA------------------------A meeting was held on Tuesday in the Collectorate Auditorium, chaired by District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, with representatives of all recognized political parties on issues related to the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025.

 During the meeting, the District Election Officer stated that, in light of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi's Press Note No. ECI/PN/316/2025, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect across the state with the announcement of the election schedule for the Bihar Legislative Assembly General Elections 2025. He stated that the 2025 Legislative Assembly General Elections in Bhojpur district will be held in the first phase.

Detailed information was provided regarding the election schedule, nomination, scrutiny, withdrawal of candidacies, voting, and counting dates. It was also informed that a total of 2,551 polling stations have been set up in the seven assembly constituencies of Bhojpur district—Sandesh, Barhara, Ara, Agiaon, Tarari, Jagdishpur, and Shahpur.

The District Election Officer stated that for the smooth conduct of the election process, the District Contact Center-cum-Voter Helpline (toll-free number 1950) is active, through which complaints, suggestions, and necessary information can be obtained.

He warned that strict action will be taken against those violating the Model Code of Conduct. All political parties were advised not to display banners, posters, flags, or promotional material anywhere without prior permission. Any party wishing to hold a meeting, rally, or use a helicopter will require written permission from the district administration.

At the meeting, the State Tax Commissioner-cum-Nodal Officer (Candidate Expenditure Cell) provided detailed information on expenditure regulations to political parties, while the Nodal Officer (MCC Cell) provided information on the provisions related to the Model Code of Conduct.

District Magistrate Mr. Sultania stated that all necessary preparations have been completed to conduct the elections peacefully, fairly, and with complete transparency. Present on the occasion were the Deputy Development Commissioner, State Tax Commissioner, District Public Relations Officer, various nodal officers, and representatives of recognized political parties.
