THREE DAY TRAINING FOR NODAL TEACHERS CONCLUDED

ARA (RNI) The three-day non-residential training for designated mentors/nodal teachers (general teachers) for children with disabilities, conducted by the Inclusive Education Department under the Bihar Education Project, concluded successfully on Thursday. Held at the Plus Two High School, Piro, the designated teachers from the primary, middle, and higher secondary schools within the cluster were informed by the trainers about the numerous difficulties and challenges children with disabilities face in commuting to school. The nodal teachers were briefed on the identification of disabilities and the 21 types of disabilities under the RPWD Act 2016 (Disability Rights Act), along with their symptoms, causes, and solutions through charts and presentations. They also provided detailed information about government facilities, benefits, schemes, and rights available to individuals with disabilities. On the occasion, certificates were distributed by Inclusive Education Department trainer Dhananjay Kumar Pandey, resource teacher Umashankar Pathak and senior teacher of Piro High School Dr. Manoj Kumar.
