VIGILANCE ARRESTED HOUSE ASSISTANT RED HANDED TAKING A BRIBE OF Rs. 5000

ARA-----------------------Vigilance Investigation Bureau carried out a major operation on Wednesday evening and arrested Chakia Panchayat's housing assistant Manish Kumar red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5000 from Fatehpur Bazaar.

According to the information received, Manish Kumar was demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 from beneficiary Ramji Singh in the name of releasing the third installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). The victim gave a written complaint to Vigilance. As soon as the complaint was confirmed, the vigilance team laid a trap. Under the decided scheme, the beneficiary had already given Rs 5000 to the accused. On Wednesday, as soon as he took the remaining amount, the vigilance team caught Manish Kumar.

This action is the second consecutive big success of Vigilance. Earlier on July 10, revenue employee Raja Kumar Das was arrested in Piro while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

This campaign was led by DSP Gautam Krishna. The team included Inspector Nazimuddin, PTC Manoj, ASI Ravi Shankar, constable Pankaj Kumar Ram. DSP Vipul Kumar, Shailendra Shukla and Kumar Ritesh were also present to provide guidance. Local people welcomed this action and said that for a long time complaints of corruption in government schemes were coming up at the Panchayat level. Now such cases will be curbed due to active monitoring. People hope that in future also the corrupt will be tightened in this way and the poor will be able to get the benefits of government schemes without bribe.
