ARA (RNI) At Paramanpur Chaturmas Vrat Sthal, India's great sage Saint Shri Lakshmi Prapanna Jiyar Swami Ji Maharaj said that there should be a son in the household. One should have a son to be free from maternal and paternal debt. It is mentioned in the scriptures that if a person has two or four brothers in his house and one brother also has a son, then also the other brother is considered to have a son. Those who do not have a son, even if they have a girl or a daughter, they are still considered to have a son. Because there is no difference between a son and a daughter. It is also mentioned in the scriptures that even if a girl gives birth to a boy, then also his maternal and paternal grandparents are considered to have a son. In this way, to be free from maternal and paternal debt, one should give birth to a son.
There are five happinesses mentioned in the Grahastha Ashram. One of them is the happiness of a son. The son should be such who obeys the orders of the parents. Serves the parents. After the death of the parents, he performs the Shraddha Tarpan Bhandara etc. rituals. It has been told that the son should not be a bad son. Like in today's society, parents get their children married. After that the wife starts giving orders. The same son whom the parents have educated and brought up, that son ignores the words of his parents. Follows the words of his wife. The wife has been told that the wife should be such who follows the society, culture, civilization, dignity
But nowadays the way sons follow the words of their wife after marriage. It is like not a husband but their behavior becomes like an insignificant creature. They listen only to what the wife says. They work only that much. They have nothing to do with society, culture and parents. That is why a wife should be such who respects, honours and obeys her husband. A wife is also called a better half. A better half means the one who gets half of the good thoughts and qualities of her husband without doing anything. But the better half should also be such who inspires the husband to walk on the right path.
She should establish dignity by maintaining harmony in the family, parents, society and culture. That is why it is said in the scriptures that a woman can reform the society if she wants. But when the same woman abandons her good thoughts, dignity, sanskar and culture, then her negative impact on society and culture is visible.
Once a Mahatma ji had left his home and was doing penance without getting married. Suddenly one day while listening to some history, Purana, scripture, he read that a person cannot be saved without a son. Now that Mahatma ji started giving up worship and rituals etc. and trying to get married. The same Lord Shriman Narayan was thinking in his mind that this devotee of ours who was walking on the right path is moving ahead on the wrong path due to incomplete information.
Mahatma ji was walking on the way and reached near a well. It was night time at that time, he thought that he should rest here. He slept there near the well. Lord Shriman Narayan said that today I will give knowledge to Mahatma ji here. The same Mahatma ji was sleeping. In the dream he is seeing that I am married. I have also got a son. Wife is saying that we have got a son, buy a golden cradle for him to sleep. The same Mahatma ji is saying that we should move a little ahead and behind. The son will sleep in the middle. In the same dream he sees that another son has also been born. Now the wife is saying that we have two sons. There is a shortage of space to sleep, so arrangements should be made.
Mahatma ji is saying that we should move a little ahead and behind each other and make arrangements here. The other son should also be put to sleep in the middle. At the same time, Mahatma ji moved a little backwards in the dream and fell into the well. Now when he fell into the well, his sleep also ended. Mahatma ji started saying that he got married in the dream and fell into the well. If he had really married, who knows where he would have fallen. That is why marriage is not enjoyment. Getting married is a Vedic tradition and a dignity.
Marriage should not be considered only a means of enjoyment. Rather, according to the Vedic tradition, one should get married in a good family according to the clan and lineage dignity. After that, while living in the household, one should give birth to a good son. Marriage is a means to take the family tradition forward. By which one should be free from the debt of his parents by giving birth to good boys and girls and by giving education, sanskar, culture, knowledge.
