According to information, the deceased was Vinay Kumar Singh, 36, son of Kameshwar Singh, a resident of Baise village in the Murar police station area of Buxar district. He was a retired Navy soldier. He was currently a Junior Intelligence Officer in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) department and was posted in Ara. On Tuesday evening, near Kitapur village in the Jagdishpur police station area of the district, an uncontrolled JCB crushed a retired Navy soldier and IB officer riding a bike. He died on the spot in the accident. The driver fled after the incident, abandoning the JCB. The incident caused widespread panic in the surrounding area.
