PATNA-----------------------A case involving a romantic relationship has come to light in Patna, the capital of Bihar, where an obsessed lover arrived at his girlfriend's house armed with a pistol. He subsequently died after falling from the roof.

An incident that has left the police stunned has occurred within the jurisdiction of the Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna. An obsessed lover arrived at his girlfriend's house to meet her.

He pointed a pistol at his girlfriend and began pressuring her to marry him. During the ensuing chaos, he fell from the roof and died. The young woman was unwilling to marry him; he had arrived at her house in a fit of anger over this. The girlfriend's brother was on the roof at the time, and the obsessed lover opened fire at him.

The bullet fired by the lover struck the brother in the arm. Amidst the ensuing commotion, the lover fell from the roof. The incident took place at Road No. 8 B/2, an area falling under the Rajiv Nagar police station.

The deceased has been identified as Priyesh Ranjan, a resident of Motihari. The injured man has been identified as Akhilesh, alias Raju; he is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Lover dies after falling from roof: According to reports, the couple had been in a relationship for quite some time. The young woman had recently secured a government job, after which the accused began pressuring her to get married. Police state that the incident appears to be entirely related to the romantic relationship. A pistol, cartridges, and a spent shell were recovered from the scene. Locals informed the police after the incident occurred. Priyesh Ranjan had arrived at his girlfriend's house on foot.

It is reported that there were tenants living on the second floor when he entered the house. Panic ensued after the gunshot was fired, and people alerted the 'Dial 112' emergency service. By the time the police arrived at the scene, the accused was already dead; his body was lying near the house. According to locals, he too was living in a rented house. The girl's family hails from Masaurhi, near Patna, and resides in Patna in a rented accommodation.

The girl's mother stated that he was acting aggressively; her daughter had gone to the village for the holidays. The young man opened fire as soon as he arrived. The mother alleged that Priyesh had been pestering her daughter about marriage for the past week. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The City SP stated that a possible love affair is being investigated. Raju had two sisters and was employed; further investigation is underway.
