DELHI---------------------------The people of Bihar-Jharkhand and West Bengal have got a big gift from the cabinet meeting chaired by. Yes, the hopes of crores of people of Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal are now going to turn into reality. In the cabinet meeting, approval has been given to make the railway line from Bhagalpur to Dumka and Rampurhat a double track.
This project, which is being built at a cost of about Rs 3,169 crore, is not just an expansion of the railways but it is considered to be a decision that will give a new direction to the future of three states. With this project, first of all, the 177 km long rail track from Bhagalpur to Dumka and Rampurhat will now turn into a double line, that is, passengers will get convenience and now the speed of trains will double. The problem of frequent jams or delays will be reduced to a great extent.
The second big benefit will be received by millions of people because 441 villages and more than 28 lakh people are going to be directly connected with this project, that is, now they will get the gift of better and faster rail connectivity. This project will prove to be a milestone especially in the direction of development of aspiring districts like Banka, Godda and Dumka. These areas will now get a stronger connection with the rest of the country. Not only passenger but also the movement of goods trains will become faster and easier.
The transportation of things like coal, cement, fertilizer and bricks and stones will increase by 15 million tonnes annually. This will reduce oil imports, reduce pollution and also benefit the environment. On the other hand, if we talk about religious tourism, it will become easier to reach holy places like Baba Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar and Tarapith.
The Modi cabinet has approved the construction of the Mokama-Munger section of the Buxar-Bhagalpur High Speed Corridor in Bihar on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). The total length of the project will be 82.4 km and its outlay will be Rs 4,447.38 crore. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “This is a section of the corridor from Buxar to Bhagalpur. An investment of Rs 4,447 crore will be made on it. This is an important project of southern Bihar.
