It is reported that the victim lives and studies at her maternal uncle's house in a neighborhood within the Town police station area. On Tuesday evening, while she was playing on the rooftop, a minor from her neighborhood came onto her rooftop and raped her. He then climbed over the railing and fled to his home.
In evening, the victim informed her family about the incident. Her maternal uncle filed an FIR against the minor at the Town police station. Following the FIR, the police took immediate action and detained the minor. The victim was subsequently medically examined at Sadar Hospital.
