BHABHUA------------------Kaimur Police have successfully solved the shooting incident that occurred during a cricket match in Kudasan village (under the Bhabua police station area) within just 24 hours. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the two main accused involved in the case. The weapon and cartridges used in the incident have also been recovered. According to reports, a young man was shot on the evening of July 9, 2026, around 5:30 PM, due to an old land dispute while playing cricket in Kudasan village. The injured youth was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital, Bhabua; after receiving first aid, he was referred to the Trauma Center in Varanasi for advanced treatment due to his critical condition. A case (Case No. 698/26) was registered at Bhabua Police Station on July 10, 2026, based on a written complaint filed by the complainant, Puneet Tiwari (son of Vinayak Tiwari, a resident of Kudasan). The case was registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 27 of the Arms Act. Given the gravity of the incident, a special raid team was constituted under the direction of Superintendent of Police Shikhar Chaudhary and led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Bhabua, Om Prakash. Based on technical investigation and intelligence inputs, the police arrested both accused within 24 hours. The arrested individuals have been identified as Gullu Tiwari (alias Golu), son of Rajnikant Tiwari, and Rahul Tiwari (alias Mithilesh Tiwari), son of Jamuna Tiwari; both are residents of Ufarvaliya village, Bhabua police station area, Kaimur district. The police have recovered one pistol, one country-made pistol (*desi katta*), and three spent cartridges from the possession of the accused. Bhabhua Station House Officer (SHO) Mukesh Kumar, District Intelligence Unit (DIU) Police Inspector Awadhesh Kumar, Sub-Inspectors Rakesh Kumar and Ravi Kumar, along with the armed force of Bhabhua police station and the DIU team, played a pivotal role in this successful operation. The police stated that further legal action regarding the matter is underway and other aspects related to the incident are also being investigated.
